1.
What is Exac-Tac Substrate?
Exac-Tac
is a 3 ml. vinyl with a water-based pressure sensitive adhesive backing
with
a siliconized paper liner.
2. For what
application would I use Exac-Tac Substrate?
It is used as a substrate receptive to inks or paint to print a message
or graphic to use
as a removable vinyl sign.
3. Is
Exac-Tac a vinyl or a film?
Exac-tac Substrate is a 3 ml , non-coated calendared vinyl with an
adhesive that allows
it to be easily removed.
4. What kind
of printers are used to print on Exac-Tac Substrate?
The technologies
compatible with Exac-Tac are Thermal Color Transfer using resin
based ink carried on a ribbon/cartridge such as machines
made by Gerber, Roland
and Fargo. The solvent-system piezo inkjet printers such as
the "Salsa" Signtech
machine and the Vutek 5000-5300 machines can also be used.
5. What
length rolls do you manufacture?
Exac-Tac is rolled with vinyl to the inside on a 3" core with
lengths of 100' for the
"CLEAR" and 150' for the "WHITE".
6. What width
rolls?
Exac-Tac Substrate is manufactured in widths from 14"-54" wide.
7. What specific
uses would Exac-Tac Substrate be adapted to in the sign industry?
The Exac-Tac "CLEAR" is recommended for P.O.P. backlit displays,
window
graphics (mirrored for application on inside of window), or applied
to colored and a
variety of surfaces for enhanced color presentations. The Exac-tac
"WHITE" is
recommended for backlit display, poster prints, billboard swipes and
removable
bumper stickers.
8.
Can it be used Outdoors?
Yes, with the solvent-system and
outdoor pigmented inks, Exac-Tac Substrate can be
used as a temporary sign for up to 1 year. Exposure to
ultraviolet light, severe
temperatures and polluted areas may cause more rapid deterioration. Lamination
can
extend this life expectancy.
9. How is it
applied?
The liner paper is peeled back and applied dry or wet to any smooth, clean
surface.
Widths may be butted or overlapped.
10. Will
temperatures effect the application?
Extreme temperatures of below 32 degrees Fahrenheit and above 105
degrees
Fahrenheit may effect the adhesive and become more adherent with prolonged
outdoor temperatures.
